SWEET LP Discography

This is not the first LP release, but it has the oldest songs on it although it was released a couple of years after these were recorded. Only one side by SWEET.
Side 1 (Middle of the Road): Samba D´Amour, Music Music, Winter´s Sun, Queen of Rock´n Roll, Baby Man, Popstar
Side 2 (Sweet): Slow Motion, It´s Lonely Out There, Questions, I´m On My Way, The Spider, My Little Girl From Kentucky.

A Germany only release, and quite hard to find!

There is also a rarer and slightly different pressing by "MFP SUPER" which does NOT have the red titles in the left corner and also a differnt catalog number.

The French and Beligian copies are VERY similar and you can´t find the country on most of them anyway.
Both copies are extremely hard to find.

This LP was released in 1990 by Repertoire Records, Germany. It contains the "Sweet" side of the two spilot LPs "Middle of the Road & Sweet" and "The Sweet & The Pipkins".
It was released in BLACK, in WHITE and in RED vinyl.

Also released in Spain, South Africa, Chile, Columbia, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Israel, Brazil and possible more countries.

In Uruguay and Argentina the LP title is
"FUNNY HOW SWET CO-CO CAN BE ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL"
and it DOES have Alexander Graham Bell as an extra track.

This LP was released in almost every country which pressed Sweet records.

I thought this was released in Italy INSTEAD of the "Biggest Hits" album, but someone mailed me and says he also has an Italian BIGGEST HITS LP. I was very surprised I must say!

In Spain there was no "Biggest Hits" album, so this was released a little later instead.

In Japan there was no "Biggest Hits" album, so this was released a little later instead.

This LP was released in almost every country. Some contries have added a track or two (Ballroom Blitz, Teenage Rampage, or even Funny Funny and Co-Co) and cancelled another track (Sweet F.A. or In To The Night) instead.

Almost in all countries this LP was released. Mostly in gatefold cover, but in some with a single cover.
This is the RCA version of the Desolation Boulevard LP, CAPITOL records released a VERY different album with the same title.

The CAPITOL Records release of the Desolation Boulevard album is actually a mixture of Sweet Fanny Adams, the RCA-Desolation and "Strung Up". Although album title and cover are similar, just three songs have the same title and only one of these is exactly the same:
- "The Six Teens" is identical on both Desolation Boulevard versions
- "Solid Gold Brass" sounds different because the Capitol versions has guitar overdubs
- "Fox on the Run" has two TOTALLY different versions ("Capitol" plays the single version)

The Capitol versiopn was released in USA, Canada and Japan. The Japanese one has the extra track "Action".

Also the USA, Canadian and Japanese issues on Capitol records used this cover design.

Apart from England, USA, Canada and Japan all countries used this cover. I am not sure how many these were, but I try, so here we go:
Italy, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, India, South Korea, and many others....

Also released in Mexico and in Peru, but strangely nowhere else.

The original has a green label, theree´s also a black label re-issue with different catalog number (NL blabla).

Side 2 is one side of the "Level Headed" album.

This rare limited edition picture LP contains many tracks NOT released anywhere else. Some are taken from the "A" album or the Hannover Sessions, but some are unique:
Tracks 1, 2 and 6 from side 1 and tracks 2 and 6 on side 2 can ONLY BE FOUND on THIS record.
I have underlined them in the track listing.

This Columbian only release looks (both on the front and back side) like "Sweet Fanny Adams" but actually it is a reduced "Strung Up" where each of the 2 discs is shortened to one side only. A nice idea!
Some have orange RCA labels, some have the dog and grammophone labels.
Usually only the back side of the cover is black and white, but one copy has been found which was TOTALLY black and white.

This is something like a re-release of the brown-silver Bell Album (the so-called "Hershey Bar" LP). The original release had only the first 5 tracks on each side. This is a 180 gram vinyl record.

The live concert took place in February 1986, but it took two and a half years to release it.

The LP comes with a large poster on which you can see Sally James and all the stars she interviewed.

Side 1 are outtake versions, side 2 are live versions. All tracks are taken from the CD "Rebel Rouser".
